Pearls. Mmmm. They look like candy!

This afternoon Tiff and I went down to the ROM for the "Pearls: A Natural History" exhibit. Figures that we would leave things to the last possible moment - today was the final day of the exhibit. We left the Ancient Egypt exhibit to the last day too. It was SO crowded and busy today... not the best atmosphere for examining beautiful treasures, but I must say that the exhibit was a beautiful and comprehensive one. After oogling at the pretties, we went over to Fabricland where I finally bought a new membership card and we spent $$$ on fabric for some upcoming costumes. I've finally gotten up some momentum to get into cosplay mode again. Kevin and I are planning a cosplay pair for the Valentines' Day dance at the JCCC in February. Since I've invested the money in the fabric already - I have to make the costumes now. The wig will come soon, from Dani. Tonight we will set up the "sweat shop" in our living room and I'll start playing around with the serger so that I can learn to use it ;)

Am I actually correct in interpreting that the JCCC is the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre? It's really weird that that popped right into my mind...
