Good times at the JCCC

Tiff, Kevin and I went to the Valentine's Day dance at the JCCC last night and had a great time. We were working on the xxxHolic costumes right up until we left the house at 8pm, but at least Kevin's jacket was finished! Sadly we weren't able to get his wings done, but they'll be ready for Anime North. It was great to see my costuming friends again! Usually I only see them online so having the chance to see them in the flesh is awesome. I've posted photos online in my PhotoBucket. Eric and Dawn came dressed as a moogle couple and they were so adorable!! I was happy to see that quite a few people recognized Kevin and me in our costumes, especially since xxxHolic is a relatively new manga. A girl on cosplay.com had been planning (rather publicly) that she would be doing a Yûko costume, but abandoned it the day before. As a result I had at least 5-6 people come up to me and say "Hi Amy, great costume!" @__@ Oh well... hehe. Both costumes were very well received. It was Kevin's first cosplay outing and he had a good time. The best compliment I received was from Dawn who thought that I had used a mix of my real hair with the wig ^__^ Here's one of the pics that we took last night -
