Let the Metamorphosis begin!

Tonight was the opening event of the Toronto Metamophosis Festival. Our first concert of our Myth to Music series was great! The Hon. John Ralston Saul (husband to Governal General Adrienne Clarkson) was present to give a short speech since he is the honarary patron of the festival, but the highlight of the concert was when he filled in a surprise part in the excerpt from A Midsummer's Night Dream. Rufus Müller is a fabulous performer and he delivers each piece with passion and artistry. The concert is a great multimedia presentation and stimulating to watch - never a dull moment! I spent the day with Kevin and we lazied around a bit. I got him a ticket for the concert tonight. Before we went over to Trinity St. Paul's, we first made a pit stop at One Million Comix. There was no reason for us to go, but I'm so glad we did. After 3 months delay our Cloud Stife and Aerith Gainsborough figures had arrived! YAY! Then we went to Marché for a quick dinner. I had a Strawberry & Baby Spinach salad, which was excellent, and Kevin had a Bacon Alfredo with Vegetables. Very satifying. To certain person(s) who are being immature and petty - get over yourself. Nothing was said but the truth. Your friends are trying see all sides of the situation, but you are too stubborn and pig-headed to realize anything but your own self-pitying side of the story. The way you have behaved is very immature and I expected more of you. Hiding your head in the sand doesn't make problems go away nor does it heal wounds. The world doesn't revolve around you and - NEWSFLASH! - you are not the centre of the universe.

The only Marché worth going to is the one downtown on Yonge Street, south of King Street. It's the "flagship" restaurant and none of the other smaller ones can hold up a comparison to it.
The crêpes there are SOOOO good. My favorite thing is a Strawberry Crêpe, drowned with Chocolate Sauce, topped with 2 scoops of Mövenpick's French Vanilla Ice Cream. Mmmm.... delicious! Their pasta and pizzas are really good too. Whenever Kevin gives me a choice of restaurant, I'll say "Marché!!!" =D

You don't like the Mövenpick right across from the skydome? Now THAT's high quality grub.

I'm dropping by Toronto this weekend and Oren's going to take me to real pad thai. Mmmmmmm....

I said Marché, not Mövenpick =P They are totally different ambience.
I really liked the Mövenpick that used to be in Yorkville, but it closed years ago.

I think that I'll head to Il Fornello on King St. this Saturday before the concert with the Hilliard Ensemble. Service might be rude, but that ice cream is wickedly good!
