Debbie and Friendly Encounters
Tonight was the opening night for the Tafelmusik set of Handel's Deborah concerts. My goodness - I've never seen such an enthusiastic audience on a Thursday night!! TSP was packed! It'll be a great run - the music is fluffy Handel stuff so it's fun to sing, but exhausting. The program is about 2.5 hours long and it's intense stuff (although there's some recycled bits from other Handel works... hehehe). I was so worn out after the dress rehearsal last night -__-"
Anyhow, Kevin came to pick me up tonight after the concert. Sadly, it was after 10:00 so Bubble Tease was closed, so we went to Dominion for him to get some groceries and I discovered a cheese craving o_0" While we were on the subway I narrowed down my "craving" to poutine - but what place serves poutine at 10pm on a Thursday?? Leave it to Kevin to remember that the Harvey's at Yonge and Bloor has poutine - so that's where we headed.
Sidetrack a bit - while we were underground in the little mall at Yonge and Bloor I recognized a friend from high school (CCAA ppl - it was David Duquesnay). He was just lurking around, in the truest sense of the word... I didn't bother to say anything, and Kev and I went on our way...
At Harvey's they were out of gravy.. ARGH!!! So we left empty-handed. Back outside on the street corner we bumped into Jord and Cin who were coming home from dinner. We were all on our way home so we didn't chat too long. At this point I decided that I was still hungry and that street meat would do... so street meat it was!
While eating our street meat and heading back to the subway (through the same underground mall) I looked to see if David was still there - he wasn't. Rather, there was a girl that I recognized looking around, with a lost expression on her face. I recognized her as a CCAA-er but for the life of me couldn't remember her name... I nearly called her Amanda and decided it'd be better to just not call her anything. I asked if she was waiting for David - and surprised the life out of her! (I remember later on the subway ride home that it was Emily Bain!! Amanda indeed... o_0" ) Anyhow, I told her that I'd spotted him no more than 10 minutes ago. I hope they met up in the end since Kevin and I were in a rush to get home.
Oh, wait... *shifty eyes*
