Berlin

There isn't too much to say about Berlin since I didn't have much time to sight-see. We arrived and had a few hours in the afternoon to eat and rest before being bused to the Philharmonie for the concert.

Brynne and I walked around and ended up having lunch at .... Marché!!! LOL!!! The buildings in East Berlin are absolutely beautiful due the restoration efforts after the unification. Walking around there were so many beautiful façades but it was weird to realize that they were H&M or Zara stores 0__0"

The Philharmonie in Berlin is a beautiful acoustic space. Very intimate and it was physically the easiest concert that I sang (mentally Bach is always difficult, hehe). I had a quiet moment of reflection on the "smokers balcony" before the concert started and came to terms that my wonderful time with the FES was almost at an end. It was incredible to reflect back on all that we had done, all that we had learned and all that we had accomplished. And standing on that stage in the Philharmonie, I tried to memorize each moment because in my mind, this was the climax of the trip and everything else was just a slow conclusion and epilogue.
