A Relaxing Day at the Leuze Mineral Baths
The church service this morning was brutally BORING! Lutherans like to talk a lot... and I usually drift off during sermons in English so you can imagine how dull it was trying to follow along in German...
Afterwards a few people went to the Künstgallerie to see the Picasso exhibit, which I do plan on doing at some point, but Brynne has been desperate to find a swimming pool so we went to the baths instead. Getting there was an adventure in and of itself. I got really good directions from Matthias, but the U-bahn people decided that this weekend of all weekends would be the one to do construction on the tracks between the main station (which is 2 mins from our hotel) and the baths... AUGH!!! After some confused train switching we got to there.
They have pools of all different temperatures, and it was really relaxing to just float and let all my tension go away. However, the salty mineral water didn't help my skin much and it made my skin really itchy - so now I have a rash on my neck AGAIN!
When we came back we just hung around in the hotel lobby and chatted with people who came and went. A few people took a day trip to Heidleberg but I wasn't in the mood for that.
