Rodelinda and hockey?

Kevin and I went out to see the COC's production of Handel's Rodelinda tonight. Overall it was a great performance. The cast was wonderful, the singing was excellent and the visuals were decent. As is my usual complaint with COC productions the set and costume design were a bit minimalist, but it worked since the cast was small. It gave everything a nice intimate feel - as intimate as the horrible Hummingbird can be.

Before the show we went to Marché for dinner. They were having a promotion to celebrate the return of hockey and everyone got ballots for a draw. There were quite a few prizes and Kevin was the FIRST name drawn! LMAO!! He's now qualified for a "Hockey Gala Evening" but we were more excited about the free coffee and dessert voucher, hehe.
