X-rays without electricty

When I arrived at the clinic this morning, my fellow front desk girlies and about 5 patients were standing in the lobby of the building. Apparently the power had been kicked out by the freak snowstorm this morning. Going up the stairwell by the light of my cellphone was a weird experience, but luckily there are lots of windwos so once I got onto our floor it wasn't too bad.

When power finally kicked back in around 9:30, the entire computer network was misbehaving since the backup UPS thing is only supposed to last for 2 hrs. We were so backed up with patients (who thankfully were very understanding) and I had the unpleasant task of re-booking many of the ones from earlier that morning.

Anyhow, the rest of the day was rather uneventful. I came home, made a new necklace design and watched Bathroom Divas. I'm amused by that show - and I'm rooting for Elton, the country singer dude with great stage presence. Squish, do you know who that girl is that goes to UWO?

Sonja? Yes'm. She's a big jazz singer and has been singing Queen of the Night Aria at pitch since she was six or so. Her mom is Mary-Ellen, a former studio teacher here.

Sonja's a cool gal. She and I sing in the Early Music Studio together.
