Comings and goings

Time for a mass summary posting!

Sat. Jan 28 - ABSOLUTELY CRAPPY DAY! Worked 9-4 at the clinic... tired and sleep deprived as it was, and then had to do a merchandise move at the store. I was there from 5pm until 1:45 AM!!! Yes, I was at the mall until practically 2 in the fucking morning! We were all hot, miserable and tired. It was gross.

Sun. Jan 29 - Still sleep deprived, but HAD to get out of bed because I had an opera audition in the afternoon. Sang decently - can't really remember because my mind was in another zone. It was weird, I haven't felt that way about an audition or solo experience since Kiwanis in high school. Hope I get the gig. My Tafel connection should help a bit, but it isn't necessarily reliable.

BTW, Happy Lunar New Year. According to the Chinese Lunar Zodiac it's the year of the Dog. Woof. That means next year is my year ^__^

Wednesday Feb 1 Kevin, Tiff, Nhan and I coincidentaly met up and went down to One Million Comix. We spend an obscene amount of money BUT finally got Cloud and Fenrir. It is SO sexy! I molested the one at FMP last week that wasn't on sale, but now we have our own!!! Kevin also picked up a couple other things and Nhan bought some fabric. We somehow ended up at my store where I bought Tiff some of our pretty new stuff from the Spring 06 line.

Tonight we had a family dinner as a late New Years get together. I really wasn't in the mood for it. I was tired, and could barely keep my eyes open. Ugh.

Tomorrow I have to do the double job thing again. Luckily at the store we are prepping for inventory and it isn't a merchandise move.

I hope to see Mario Maniaci with Tafelmusik next week for one of the Mozart concerts. I remember him singing Nero in OA's Coronation of Poppea and it was mind-blowing. I was VERY excited to see my face in the photos for the promo flyers for the choir this season. The photos from our shoot in October turned out really well and this is a nice "permanent" way to acknowledge my position since I'm not a consort.

Been reading up about the 2 ComiCons happening in April (HobbyStar's thing and the one by Paradise Comics). I'm interested in going to one of them - it'd be a nice chance to get back to my comic and sci-fi roots. Anyone else interested in doing something?
