Weaving Maiden and the Pink Panther

We had the dress rehearsal and performance of Chan Ka Nin's Weaving Maiden tonight. It went quite well, and I must confess it had some very lovely moments and I respect the work for what it is - which is a lot for me to say about any contemporary piece. ^__~ Veronica Tennant was the narrator. Cool - I've met a Canadian Hall of Fame-r!

During the 3.5 hour dinner breat Teresa and I walked up from the CBC building to the Paramount theatre and watch the Pink Panther. It was stupid and funny - just what we needed. My only comment about the film is that Beyoncé's scenes all felt like music videos and it detracted from the film itself. Stever Martin being the inspector was goofball and perfect.

Tomorrow night Kevin plans to cook up a storm for us. I'm looking forward to it!
