Successful shopping

I went down to the Eaton Centre today intending to pick up some inexpensive cotton t-shirts at Fairweather or Suzy Shier so that I could "customize" them. I ended up buying 5 at Fairweather (3 plain and 2 with Rock'n'roll prints). I decided to brave the crowds and mess and went into Zara to see if I could find anything to add to my concert wardrobe. In the midst of the strange things I found a lovely cotton floor-length skirt in my size but the zipper was completely wrecked. It would be an easy fix, but some stupid woman had probably tried to yank the zipper up and tore the fabric alongside the zipper... And since everything was final sale I wasn't going to drop money for something damaged... But I wasn't going to give up on my pretty skirt so I decided to wander over to the Zara on Queen St W and check if they had it.

The streetcars just weren't happening today so I walked along Queen Street and came upon the Art Expo at Nathan Phillips Square. In the back of mind I knew this was going on since Francie had a booth there (duh). I did a quick look around and saw a whole lot of paintings and pottery and no Francie so I went on my merry way.

And yay! They had my skirt at the other store! After buying it I popped over to BEDO across the street and found a lovely black corset-style cami for $15.

There was a pretty dress at MEXX that I'm sorely tempted by, but right now I can't justify throwing $100 on a dress when I've got Darryl's wedding coming up, and my trip to think about.

Kevin came home early so we ordered in pizza and had some "us" time. It was nice since we've been doing the phone rant thing for the past week or so.
