Swishy pants!

Tiff and my parents went out deep into the 'Sauga today so I asked to be dropped off at Yorkdale. I went to Lululemon and picked up a couple of tops - they wear and wash well and it'll make my life a bit easier in Germany when doing "sink laundry." I love my 'Deep-V' top so much that I bought a white one :)

I've wanted a pair of swishy black capri pants (gaucho pants), but most of the ones I've tried on have been very unflattering - but I found a nice pair at La Senza! They are 88% modal/ 12% spandex, which I hope will wear as nicely as lyocell fabric.

To kill more time I took the subway down to the Eaton Centre and wandered around there for a while, before walking down to Marché to have a bite of something sweet. Then I went up to meet Kevin at work, but since I was an hour early I just hung around reading magazines and helping him with this and that.

When we got home I tried some of the custard that we had prepped for the Crême Brulée... OMG -__-" it was like eating egg flavoured ice cream.... Note to self, the next time a recipe calls for "heavy cream" don't buy 38% cream (aka whipping cream)... It was SO rich and heavy. TOO rich and heay. Next batch I'll have to mix the cream with 2% milk just to tone it down a bit. Yikes!

Creme Brulee, wow! Did you go all out and use a torch on it??

oh man, don't you find Lululemon like, ridiculously expensive??? I find that store so depressing because it's all so pretty and I want it but I can't afford anything!

It is expensive, but their quality is very good. I've had my black V-neck top for 2 years now and it hasn't faded, shrunk, stretched, or pilled. The same goes for my pair of their Still Pants.

I bought a pair of yoga pants from Jacob, and as much as I love my store they cannot compare. After a couple washes and infrequent wear they have pilled up and they look older than my black Lululemon top.

So, considering I paid about $30 at Jacob for the pants that now look like crap, and $50 for my Lulu top which I've had forever, which is the better value?

Better swishy capris than the spandex capri leggings with the stretch lace trim, worn under a miniskirt, that I keep seeing everywhere. *cries* THE 80's WERE UGLY, PEOPLE! argh.
