Girlie day with Christine

This morning Christine and I went out to a little place in Scarborough to get our nails done. First off - I now understand the difference between a place that charges $26 for a pedicure and $45. From now on I will gladly pay the $45 for the peace of mind that the tools being used on me are either new out of the package or have been properly sanitized. The place we went to wasn't dirty, but the attitude was a little to casual for my liking and it grossed me out.

For the first time ever I had a set of acrylics applied - and I swear I am never doing it again. I don't mind the look of the nails or the length. I had deliberately grown out my nails a bit so typing and functioning normally is still possible. What troubles me is the fact that the technician used a Dremel (really, it was. I read the model number on the side of the tool -__-") on my nails. I vaguely remember Dani showing me Dremel attachments for manicures before and for buffing and filing it makes sense, but he used the thing on my CUTICLES! My cuticle beds are now raw, sore and any pressure on my nails is very uncomfortable. I think I will give my hands some time to heal and then get these god-awful things removed.

After getting our nails done we went to Fairview Mall just to wander around a bit. After 2 years of searching I finally bought a slim-fit ladies white dress shirt with French cuffs ^__^"

I went to pick Kevin up after work and we went down to One Million Comics to inspect his new treasure and make a payment on her. She is number 0135 of 3000 - nice. What boggled my mind a bit was how many guys were just hanging around in the store watching whatever anime was being shown there. After all, it was a Friday evening - don't these guys have anything better to do?
