My first couple of days in Stuttgart
Our first night in Stuttgart we sang a fantastic C-Minor Mass, the last time we will be performing the entire work together. Afterwards we went to the Stuttgart city hall for a lovely reception. Mr. and Mrs Heinrichs, as well as Theo Schweiker and his wife were in the audience and came to the reception. It's always nice to recognize faces in the audience - it makes it feel more like home.

I nearly freaked out yesterday because my iPod crashed on me after I did a photo dump. It wouldn't respond to any buttons or cables. Eric had a look at it too and was baffled - but this morning it miraculously was working like normal. PHEW!! If I lost my photos I would cry! However, on the train ride from Mainz to Stuttgart Hollie copied the photos off of my memory card onto his laptop so hopefully some of my photos will be on the website ^__^
In the meantime, there are some decent photos of me on our website (www.festivalensemble.org) - and I'm even having fun in some of them *gasp!* There is a fabulous picture of Erica, me and Christine in a gorgeous stairwell backstage in the Lucerne Congress Centre.
Tomorrow night Herr Schweiker is taking the Canadians out on our traditional outing. This year they are taking us to the Ritter Sport factory! We will be able to buy chocolate at their factory prices - how awesome is that?!! Then we will take a tour of Tübingen and then go out for dinner. I'm sure it will be fantastic.
Dani, I'm not sure if I will be able to run that errand for you - the next few days will be manic and nothing is open on Sundays over here...
