My birthday

It's been a difficult year for me. There was a lot of uncertainly, doubt, worry and anger. These things are still there but I hope that they will ease themselves out of my mind slowly. I learned so much from just living, so much more than I could have ever been taught in school or picked up from a book. I'm grateful.

Tonight my aunt picked me up from work and we went out to dim sum with my grandmother. It was a bit surreal because it was the first time I've gone out with any of my relatives other than my sister since I've moved out of my parent's house. I've talked to most of my relatives but we haven't had any family dinners or anything in s while. Oh well.

I didn't have a choir rehearsal tonight and I didn't feel like going downtown so I hopped up to P-Mall just to look around. I didn't find anything but it was just good to get out instead of spending the night in front of the couch - that's what Thursdays are for (Grey's Anatomy & CSI night!).

I've spent most of the evening downloading old malt shop era songs. I think it reflects my current state of mind.
