Kindnesses

So the exhausting Messiah run is over and I can relax again. I've been so tired the past three weeks since there has been virtually no time to eat or sleep, just running around from this place to that. The warm weather on Sunday really helped to draw out the crowds for the Sing-Along. The line started at Massey Hall, down the side street and then curved around the block towards Yonge Street. It was ridiculous! As always it was a lot of fun, but this year being the 20th anniversary of the Sing-Along Ivars had something extra nutty planned. He was escorted into the hall with armed members of Scotsmen in traditional kilts, to the fanfare of bagpipes and drum. It was hysterical!

I finally mailed out some of my Christmas cards so those of my friends that I have addresses for, you should be getting something eventually . . . (Oh, and btw Dani, the stuff came today. Thanks a bunch!)

Since yesterday was the first day in a while that I had some free time I sat down and wrote some emails that have been on my "to-do" list. While I was floating around online I found a picture of the kind gentleman that had helped Anne-Marie, Brynne and myself back in August when we were on our way to Freiburg. Imagine my amazement to realize he was the Oberbürgermeister of his town - the mayor! I wrote a short message to thank him and imagine my surprise to see a reply in my inbox this morning! A part of me feels resolved now that I know the name of the kind stranger who had been so welcoming to three travellers.

If I could stand up, I would have come to your singalong. Oh well.

I have thingies for you. Are you around at all after Christmas, yo?
