Resurfaces quickly for a quick update

This has been the most ridiculous week ever. I don't think I ever studied or did my homework so diligently through all my years of high school (and certainly not through uni.. haha!) Training has been so stressful with long days and so much information to absorb all at once. On Tuesday (day 2) we had 2 practical tests (hand's on stuff) and 3 written quizzes based on the homework from Monday night. To my annoyance I still don't have an employee number assigned to me so I can't access the readings that I'm supposed to do online at home. Grrr....

We already lost one person in my class, so now there's an even number of 20. I can understand why people get so stressed out, but I've never been one to stress about anything academically. Maybe it's a good thing, but it also works against me sometimes. Last night all my classmates were freaking out about studying for the exam we had today and I just read our material and then went to bed early and slept in. The training policies about testing are very strict so I understand their anxiety, but I don't relate =P

There are a lot of confidentiality issues so I can't talk about what I'm studying or being tested on, but I can honestly say that I am enjoying myself. The whole program is very supportive (because they obviously want us to succeed) and my classmates are really friendly. One of my classmates lives literally 3 minutes from me and is kind enough to pick me up and take me home every night. It really makes a huge difference not having to commute 2 hours each way.

I learned how to do a French Twist hairstyle (which I've been trying to learn for years but never found decent instructions) and now I just have to refine it so that it's more tidy :) I'm trying to avoid throwing my hair in a bun cuz I think it's unflattering on me.

In other news, big hurrays to Mark for hooking me up with my new cellphone. I now have a smexy black V3 Razr. I think the previous owner was an Indian guy because the box smells like cologne and there are Indian songs downloaded as ringtones (anyone know how to delete them? o_0")

Tomorrow I plan to have a bit of a life and go out. I need to return some stuff at H&M and then there's Roland's "surprise" dinner party downtown. Then on Sunday I'll drown myself in my manuals again and you won't see me until who knows when. Ad Astra is totally not happening :(
