A lighter week
This week the homework assignments and general workload was noticably lighter, but I suspect it's just part of their carefully choreographed program because next week looks like it will be non-stop exams every day. Whatever, bring it on.
Since we talked a bout water evacuations and ditching last week, on Monday we got a fun surprise. We were given special training versions of the aircraft lifevests with loaded CO² cartridges so that we could inflate them! It was silly fun! Those lifevests inflate instantly and are very tight against the head & neck (and also very cold from the compressed CO²).
On Tuesday my uniform was delivered and it was like Christmas opening up that big box. I was one of the lucky ones that didn't have anything missing or back-ordered. Everything fit nicely except for the blazers which hung like a potato sack, so I had to take them to a tailor to have the waist area taken in.

Yesterday was a very loosely scheduled day. All that was scheduled for us was a practical exam (not just for my class alone, but for all of the students) as well as progress reports. Since each student's exam takes roughly 10 minutes each there was a lot of waiting around and chit chatting ^__^" I can't do much studying in the classroom since there are so many conversations going on and it's so hard to focus so we took silly photos and just talked.
This afternoon I went to Staples and bought some much needed stationery supplies - hurray for Post-It notes! Then I went over to Fairview to pick up one of my blazers from the tailor. It looks SO much better now. He had to take in the side seams as well as the centre seam so it was quite expensive. Maybe next time I'll take it to a Chinese place - haha!
Tonight Kevin and I are planning on going out for sushi. I was talking with Noriko and Anne from the other classes yesterday and we got onto the topic of Japanese food and now I want some!
