Seven Years of Happiness

I really have no sense of time or days of the week right now. I know that today is today and yesterday was yesterday and tomorrow will be tomorrow. Ask me what number day it is and I really don't know. And you know what, it's a very nice, relaxed sensation. Since I was drafted on one of my days off I'll be off until Friday.

Yesterday Kevin and I went out to lunch with Brynne. We went to Sushi Train - partly to make up for the icky sushi place we went to in Stuttgart. I haven't seen her in so long so it was awesome to just sit down and chitchat. After gorging ourselves on sushiness we walked down to the Just Desserts at Yonge & Wellesley for some dirty dessert! Between the 3 of us we had 5 slices of cake and it was awesome!

Afterwards we popped into One Million Comix where I bought Kevin an early birthday present (both of the Neon Genesis: Evangelion box sets) and then we walked down to the Eaton Centre to do a bit of shopping. Brynne and I tried on a few things but neither of us found anything to buy. We went our separate ways after and Kevin and I went across on Queen Street to our usual haunts.

It was too bad that Loomis & Toles was closed because I wanted to get a porfolio thing with clear sleeves to throw some of my notes into. We went up to Anime Xtreme and bought each other silly gifts. I bought Kevin the mini Ragnarok set I had seen at MTAC and he bought me a little Mokona and a couple sets of mini Fate/Stay Night figures.

When we got home we crawled into bed and put on Eva since I've never really watched it. It was nice to be able to spend the whole day with him. We've been together so long that we don't really celebrate things like Valentine's Day and sometimes anniversaries go by that we acknowledge but don't really get to do anything. After seven years it's easy to feel comfortable and "domesticated," which isn't always a bad thing. We're still as happy now as we were back then and that's what counts!
