Late night musings
Kevin and I went down to Paramount today to watch Spiderman 3. We have this funny thing where if we don't see movies on opening day, we generally don't end up seeing them. It's not deliberate - it's just how things have turned out over the years. And when did Paramount get renamed to the Scotiabank Theatre??!
I'm not in the mood to talk about the movie, that's not what's on my mind right now. After the movie we had dinner at Sushi Time on Queen - that place is BUSY!! We were lucky to get in there when a few tables were just clearing out but the lineup to get in there never seemed to decrease! The food was good. How should I describe it? It was consistent, which is what I look for when I go to places that are ridiculously busy.
Last night we went up to FMP and we picked up the Xenosaga figures set that we've been oogling for a couple weeks. I very pleased that we have it how - it looks amazing in our display. I spent a couple hours rearranging things to make space for them, as well as some figures that have been sitting in random shelves here and there waiting for a permanent home.
I'm feeling a strange mixture of nostalgia and what I can only describe as homesickness for my summers in Germany. I realize it's ridiculous to call that "home" since I've only spent about 3.5 months there in total over the past few years but I miss the people and the atmosphere. I know that even if I were offered the chance to go I would have to decline because of my new job but that doesn't change the fact that sunny Überlingen is one of my favourite places in the world. God, wouldn't I kill for a tiramisu right about now =P
