Hong Kong, London, Anime North
I haven't had time to blog in a while but a lot has happened o_0"
Over Mother's Day weekend I went to Hong Kong. On the way over a Canadian political VIP was on board (no names for the sake of privacy) but it was funny because I recognized his face but couldn't remember his name. I had to check the passenger list - hehe... That tells you a lot about me and politics =P Kelly was on my flight and when we arrived we went out shopping together with my mom's cousin (my 'biu yee ma') My goodness the girl is a shopaholic - worse than me!! I had gone out for dinner with my parents the night before leaving (and to pick up some HK dollars) and something wasn't sitting well so I was fighting with an upset stomach the entire weekend. Thank god for Pepto Bismol @__@" I barely bought anything in HK. I found the CTMA Centre up near Mong Kok and went figure hunting but most of the things on my shopping list don't come out until later in the summer so I picked up some old things for cheap and that was all. Generally I was grumpy, tired and just wanted to get home. Bleh, no points for HK, it's still not my favourite place.
On Victoria Day I got called in for standby duty. Nothing happened but Monto was there too (also on standby) and he dropped me off at Union Station at the end of our shift. As we drove by the lake the fireworks were going of at Ontario Place and it was very pretty. I met up with Kevin after his work and we took the subway home together.

This past weekend was Anime North. Like the previous years Kevin and I helped out at Dani's booth. It was very busy and I was very tired by the end of it @__@" Yesterday Tiff and her posse went to the con as well and we walked around dressed as members of Organization XIII from Kingdom Hearts. I love no hassle cosplays - but Tiff was freaking out about them because up to Friday her custom-ordered zippers still hadn't arrived yet... After the masquerade show we went out for dinner at Sushi Dragon. Maybe it was the fact that we had our costumes on, but the service was absolutely deplorable. Kevin and I went their last year and it was so good. I don't know what happened but I don't plan on going there again.
Today Kevin and I had a lazy day in. It was brilliant. Tomorrow I have Pirates on the agenda to celebrate pookie-bear's birthday!!
